∴ forged in trials
emerging from flame
fierce as the current
the ring giver appears
silent, solemn
bestowing five bands of ethereal metal
each a life’s oath
a weighted boon
blessed and cursed
winding around her essence
no simple feat to accept
to fathom their meaning
it would take all her days ∴1
