why lowercase letters and what’s with the “∴”?

As a poet, I often choose not to use capital letters because I enjoy the aesthetic. For me, it signifies equality among words and directs attention to the message. It’s also a way that I’ve chosen to experiment with language and explore new avenues in my poetry. Additionally, it signifies the practice of humility and the dissolution of the ego, aligning with the notion of inner calm or enlightenment. This preference goes back to my childhood when a family friend, an artist, used lowercase letters in his correspondence. I was captivated by how his words looked and felt on the page. His influence has stayed with me ever since. This philosophy of equality also extends beyond language—it’s about seeing value in all living things and reflecting that belief in my artistic expression.

‘∴’? In essence, my use of ‘∴’ at the beginning and end of my verses acts as a structural device, guiding the reader through the poem’s progression from start to finish. Additionally, it symbolizes cause and effect or the interconnectedness of everything (albeit my subjective interpretation and reflection).
