fail

∴ fail—
shadows extend
day calls ∴1

  1. It’s Friday the 13th! I felt it fitting to use something dark for today’s ‘fail’ prompt, but still offer a glimmer of hope. Despite the growing shadows, there remains a new opportunity or a reminder that life goes on. Even after failure, the day (or life) invites us to try again and move forward with renewed energy. Go get ’em! ↩︎

pyre’s kiss

∴ wrapped by stars
on this eve, this sultry eve—
fire’s kiss upon the wind
a spin and flare
in crimson flight
hearken to the nightingale’s ancient call

a dreamt refrain of olden songs—
where we belong, these souls belong
yet as each dawn breaks, a tempest wild
breath to flicker flame reconciled

thou art the key, the lock, the door—
and i, the shore, the endless shore
yet in thy eye, this firestorm doth swirl
a riddle’s grasp, within it, un-answers curl

’tis convergence, this quest, where we shall tread—
speed quick these spirits bound by silvered thread

pyre ablaze in wisdom’s urn
thus evermore a twist and turn
step forth, thine eyes wide unto this land
with eyes and arms full and wide—
