bite

∴ wind bites ancient stone—stories etched in breath ∴1

  1. I posted a potential Welsh translation on Tŵt Wales as part of a new series where I test and stretch my Welsh language skills. My goal is to post at least 1 poem per week on Mastodon. All said, if the poem loses much of its structure due to my translation capabilities (or lack thereof), I will not be posting. Dewch i ddweud helo! ↩︎

weekend

as the weekend gently ebbs, within the cwtch of fading time, the old man lights the fire
·
seasoned moments kindle, where mystery and hiraeth intertwine in the smoke and warm glow
·
the fire murmurs and hisses, as tales fed by ancient oak and cyfnos, are now brought to light

spring is returning

∴ spring is returning · daffodils in yellow sun · eggs attract rabbits ∴

my Welsh attempt:

∴ gwanwyn yn dod nol · cennin yn eirian melyn · wyau’n denu cwningod ∴
