cats watch unperturbed
steadfast with cyclic rhythms
storm and purrs in unison ∴

∴
old growth groves stand strong,
defiant ‘gainst dark’s cruel grasp,
traumatizing hold

leaves carry no mournful sighs,
silent strength endures. steadfast
∴
beyond first light
∴
deep within the woods,
where frost’s grip holds, unyielding,
beyond dawn’s first light,
trees, sentinels standing tall,
silent woodland, cold and still
∴
dusk
∴
her happiness waned,
into dusk, emotions dimmed,
daylight’s vibrant hues,
faded like a fleeting dream,
twilight whispered bittersweet
∴
cozy
∴
in the forest’s heart,
where wild serenity thrives,
beasts in cozy rest,
this wood shares a gift of peace,
in tooth and claw, our refuge
