misjudged, perhaps
not all my memory’s keepsakes
hold long-reign
anemoia you invoke
a dreamy nostalgic lure
yet, i ponder not long
in times i’ve never been
moreover, i’m struck
by
the deeper and
sometimes unreachable meaning
in the art of life surrounding me
this still is not yet the crux
all i crave, now
is just a nibble
of your chocolate cake
DEEElumptiousness! ∴
∴ lost on the trail of hope, crows tell me not to cry uncle · it’s not in my bones · drifted away with a wish as my guide · navigating through phantom paths · each step, i find pieces of a you ·
i hear there are views of the world from this mountain’s peak · i’ll climb if you’ll be there, for it’s only you i seek ∴
∴ sibling of the dawn
bore from the alder, Wednesday
sprawling blue ridge crackle wide
as light does pour
through the wetlands
and verdant green
taking nourishment
hickory and wild berry
each moment a promise, anew ∴
