∴ wrapped by stars
on this eve, this sultry eve—
fire’s kiss upon the wind
a spin and flare
in crimson flight
hearken to the nightingale’s ancient call
a dreamt refrain of olden songs—
where we belong, these souls belong
yet as each dawn breaks, a tempest wild
breath to flicker flame reconciled
thou art the key, the lock, the door—
and i, the shore, the endless shore
yet in thy eye, this firestorm doth swirl
a riddle’s grasp, within it, un-answers curl
’tis convergence, this quest, where we shall tread—
speed quick these spirits bound by silvered thread
pyre ablaze in wisdom’s urn
thus evermore a twist and turn
step forth, thine eyes wide unto this land
with eyes and arms full and wide—
withstand ∴
