∴ waxing gibberish
‘neath the summer moon
beasts beckon at my door
“it’s time,” they say
as i reach for the antlered crown
and don an alder leaf cloak
arisen from ancestral marrow

my heart overflows
with charmed sylvan blood
and a summons i cannot resist
where familiars, purposeful, lead my way
out from sui generis labyrinthine mist

these lessons she teacheth—
patience and skill
to hone my focus
and mind over will

may she guide me
for no longer am i the archer
or aught else in name; yet

i seek her truth, deeply wise
uniting my body, my bow,
and mine eyes

target within view

arrow nocked
poised to fly
take aim
loose

liberated by her
Goddess of the ancient trees
my mind flows
as the summer breeze ∴
