daylight shifts at their command,

lost hour, restless flock

lost in night’s dark twist

whispers of elusive wisps,

dreams stolen in mist

beneath the tombstone,

skeletons dream in earth’s hold,

silent, last in death

∴

∴

beauty in decay,

twisted forms, gruesome display,

horrors, no escape

∴

∴

silent dreams wither,

life’s grasp, shadows unseen,

hope’s fire, rebirth

∴

∴

lantern pierces dark,

phantoms in the forest’s gloom,

light blind, fear ensues

∴

∴ 

tomb of bound voices

echoes from these pages keep,

tales that will not sleep
